For my research topic, I have decided to analyze how topics in digital travel blogs are influenced by a country's culture. Here are ten potential sources to use for my research:

  1. Part 1: Question Response

Question 5: What specific sources should be read for possible use in the literature review?

Because my research is based in digital travel blogs, my analysis will be comprised of a variety of these texts. To enhance this research, I will also use academic research to contextualize the research I will be conducting.

    Part 2: Revision Plan

My current list of sources does not contain any digital travel blogs, so I will certainly need to add some. Also, my list of sources is quite general in terms of topic, so I will begin to narrow my research by identifying which sources are applicable to my research topic and which are not.

  2. Good start, Dylan!! Good focus on digital travel blogs here..

IMPORTANT: To position your topic within the PTW field of emphasis, be sure to throw into the mix at least 4 articles from PTW-specific journals (see "Sources on PTW" on Canvas/top part). Look for published journals where PTW scholars used the concepts of "CULTURE" or "CULTURAL INFLUENCE" on their research (that is, their analyses don't to be about travel blogs)... OR you may look for any info about "BLOGS" in general... and so forth.

The main idea is to get "chunks and nuggets" from PTW sources that you may weave into your Lit. Review to set the stage of your topic overall. If all goes well, you might even get ideas for your research design later on.

    Best,

    Dr. B
